Recruitment

The company recruits personnel using our office support team placing advertisements in publications, through job centres, but mainly by promoting the introduction of suitable personnel through existing staff contracts (recommendations).

Interviews are carried out either at our office or on site by the appropriate manager, to assess the experience and ability of the applicants and their suitability to working in the required environment. References are obtained, and the relevant information, made available to our client if necessary.

All staff are thoroughly vetted prior to being offered employment, and where required staff that are CRB checked are utilised.

All Cleaning Staff employed must wear an approved uniform together with an identity badge, bearing their photograph, which will be issued by MCS Limited.

Fidelity bonding of employees working in high risk areas may be obtained.

The client has the right to instruct the removal of unsuitable Cleaning Staff from their buildings and MCS ltd has an obligation to replace the operative with a suitable acceptable replacement.

The customer is aware of the rates of pay each member of staff will receive, listed on the Financial Breakdown, their holiday entitlement, and any National Insurance Liability.

All Cleaning Staff employed must conform to the Clients Security and Safety Regulations, which they will read and sign prior to commencing work.

Training records are maintained for all staff, and induction training will include, fire, security, health & safety, COSHH regulations and requirements, with location of COSHH Data Sheets.

Training is supplied, to ensure staff are aware for the need to use colour coded cloths and mops and the requirements to operate the recycling system if one is in operation.

Ongoing training in good cleaning practices, health & safety and floor cleaning safety are supplied on a frequent basis, to ensure that each member of staff is reminded of the importance of the following company policies:
